Sometimes alliances merge because of months of negotiations, carefully planned diplomacy and long discussions about the future.
And sometimes someone simply asks: “Do you want our alliance?”
This is the story of how lunA moved into FNYX, changed the name, inherited a few members… and apparently triggered the Last Z equivalent of a constitutional crisis.
Phase 1 – The Great Migration
Migration was approaching on Server 670, and one thing was already certain: FNYX was about to become considerably emptier.
At least 27 members were planning to leave, including the entire FNYX staff. Because lunA had good relations with FNYX, we already knew that some of the remaining players would probably join us. That seemed like the obvious solution.
Then one of the FNYX leaders approached Albert with a different idea.
Why should the remaining members move to lunA?
Why not simply take over FNYX?
The alliance was already better developed and had a higher level. The remaining members would have a home, and the existing progress of FNYX wouldn’t simply be abandoned.
From a practical point of view, it made perfect sense.
There was only one tiny problem.
FNYX didn’t exactly have the best reputation on Server 670.
Nobody questioned their ability to fight. They were good fighters. Very good fighters, actually. But being good at fighting and being well liked are two completely different achievements. Let’s put it this way: if Server 670 had held a “Most Popular Alliance” competition, FNYX probably wouldn’t have needed to prepare an acceptance speech.
Over time, they had also made a few questionable personnel decisions, and some of those decisions would soon become surprisingly relevant to this story.
Phase 2 – The "Deal"
Before agreeing, Albert asked one important question:
“Can we change the alliance name?”
The answer was yes.
Good.
Because without that, there would have been no deal.
Apart from that, Albert attached no apparent conditions to taking over the alliance. And really, why would he?
Nobody gives up an alliance where they can run things exactly the way they want just to move somewhere else and suddenly obey mysterious extraterrestrial rules descending from another galaxy.
So the agreement was simple.
We take over FNYX. The remaining members have a home. We bring our lunA people across. And once the migration is finished, we start building something new together.
Easy.
What could possibly go wrong?
Phase 3 – “WHO IS THIS GUY?!”
Technically, the transfer hadn’t even been completed yet. The old FNYX leader was still there. And already one existing member had decided that the peaceful transition urgently needed some entertainment.
There is always that one.
Again and again, he challenged what was happening and kept looking for arguments.
“Who is this guy?!”
Albert, presumably.
The guy who had just been asked by your leadership to take over the alliance.
The old leaders themselves told Albert not to worry. This was apparently normal behavior for fuy. He would calm down.
Eventually.
Hopefully.
They even threatened to kick him themselves if he didn’t stop.
At this point, the well-known Chicken also entered the discussion and told that guy that even he was getting seriously tired of his behavior.
And when the Chicken tells you to calm down, perhaps it is worth considering that you may have turned the drama dial slightly too far.
Eventually he became quieter.
The lunA members transferred into FNYX, the migrating FNYX players left Server 670, and the transition was complete.
Peace had arrived.
For approximately five minutes.
Phase 4 – The Great Treasure Crisis
One of the systems lunA brought with us was our treasure planning.
Nothing particularly revolutionary. Just organization.
Apparently, however, organizing Resource Vaults can be interpreted as an attack on civilization itself.
…The guy objected.
…And objected.
…And continued objecting.
The problem wasn’t simply that he disagreed. People can disagree. That’s normal. The problem was that he simply wouldn’t stop.
Eventually that argument ended.
Then came the helicopter.
And somehow we managed to discover yet another hill worth dying on. The same pattern started again. Discussion. Complaints. Arguments. More complaints. By now, the Chicken had also changed sides in the story. He began posting things on Snapchat about how we had supposedly destroyed “his” alliance.
Snapchat.
About an alliance dispute in Last Z. (an alliance he cared less enough about to leave it with the others leaders)
There are moments when the best strategic advice available is not about formations, heroes or troop composition. Sometimes it is simply:
Grow up.
Phase 5 – The Name
And then came the moment that apparently transformed an alliance disagreement into the French Revolution.
Albert changed the alliance name.
Exactly as had been discussed and agreed with the former leadership before the takeover.
This was not a surprise. It was not a secret.
It was literally one of the things Albert had explicitly asked permission for before agreeing to the entire arrangement. But for the guy, this was apparently the final straw.
He completely lost it.
What followed was an attempt to start some kind of rebellion against the new leadership. The arguments continued. The agitation continued. The situation became increasingly ridiculous.
Eventually there was only one reasonable option left.
He was kicked.
Phase 6 – Diplomacy by Troop Formation
The dude responded to being kicked by attacking Albert.
Then attacking him again.
And again.
At which point our members decided that diplomacy had officially concluded.
They sent him flying.
He subsequently joined DSKN, where the Chicken had already gone. Before that, the Chicken had recruited away several of his loyal followers, who also moved to DSKN – conveniently the alliance where his beloved one was already waiting.
So far, so Last Z.
He joined them, and later he and the Chicken even came back to pay us a little visit.
Meanwhile, the Chicken’s adventures had attracted attention beyond lunA. The R5s – specifically King Beard of Iron – eventually declared him “Enemy of the State.” Shortly afterwards, the Chicken migrated away from Server 670. And thus ended that particular chapter of poultry-based diplomacy.
Phase 7 – The Punchline
But every good story deserves an ending. Preferably a funny one.
Remember the two things that caused him so much outrage after lunA took over?
The helicopter rules… and the Resource Vault planning, the systems that were apparently unbearable. The systems worth fighting leadership over.
The systems that helped turn an alliance transition into days of unnecessary drama.
Well…
Tis guy is now in DSKN.
And DSKN uses the same helicopter rules.
They also use Resource Vault planning.
Why?
Because we introduced this system there too.
Sometimes karma doesn’t arrive with explosions, burning HQs or a dramatic announcement in World Chat. Sometimes karma just quietly hands you the exact same rules in a different alliance.
Welcome to Last Z.
The names change.
The alliances change.
The people migrate.
But apparently…
the Resource Vault planing follows you.
