Want to unlock Level 5 Resource Vaults in Last Z? The secret lies in your Support Mastery skill tree.
The good news is that you don’t need to maximize every skill along the way. By following a specific route, you can reach Vault Master at Level 30 without wasting valuable Mastery Points on unnecessary upgrades.
And because this is lunA – Lunatic Asylum, Helen has volunteered to guide you through the process. Whether she actually volunteered or was simply the last person who hadn’t escaped the classroom remains unclear.
Step 1 – Level 1: Architect’s Insight and Fernleaf Cultivation
At Level 1, you’ll find two useful skills:
Architect’s Insight (0/5): Increases Season Mastery EXP earned from upgrading seasonal buildings by up to 30%. This can help you progress faster through your Season Mastery levels, but it is not required for our Vault Master route.
Fernleaf Cultivation (5/5): Increases Fernleaf yield by 15%. This is the skill we want to maximize for our route.
For the Vault Master path, invest 5/5 points into Fernleaf Cultivation. You can leave Architect’s Insight at 0/5 and invest additional points later if you wish.
Step 2 – Level 10: Construction Support and Dino Scale Refining
At Level 10, upgrade both skills:
Construction Support (2/2): Allows you to grant an ally a 15% construction speed boost for one hour. Both players benefit from the effect. The ability has a 24-hour cooldown and cannot be stacked.
Dino Scale Refining (5/5): Increases the amount of Cretaceous Scales you receive by 15%.
These upgrades are useful beyond simply progressing through the Mastery tree. Construction Support helps you and your alliance members speed up development, while Dino Scale Refining improves your seasonal resource gains.
Step 3 – Level 20: Shield Bond and Resistance Boost
At Level 20, you’ll need both skills:
Shield Bond (1/1): Allows you to grant an ally a one-hour Peace Shield. Both players receive protection. The ability has a 72-hour cooldown and cannot be stacked.
Resistance Boost (5/5): Grants five additional Resistance points for every level-up of your Bio Greenhouse.
Shield Bond is particularly interesting because it allows you to protect another alliance member while protecting yourself at the same time. Just remember that the effect only lasts one hour and cannot be stacked.
Resistance Boost, meanwhile, helps improve your seasonal Resistance as your Bio Greenhouse develops.
Step 4 – Level 30: Vault Master!
And here we are. The reason Helen dragged us through this entire Mastery tree!
Find Vault Master, represented by three golden treasure chests, and unlock it.
At Level 5, Vault Master allows you to deploy a special vault for alliance members to loot, with the following benefits:
- The vault remains active for 30 minutes.
- It supports up to 100 loots.
- Each alliance member can loot it up to twice per day.
- Looting troops receive a temporary +150% Troop Load Boost.
This is what makes Vault Master so valuable. Instead of simply improving your own development, you create additional resource opportunities for your fellow Lunatics.
The more alliance members who unlock Vault Master, the more opportunities we have to share resources and grow together.
What About Your Remaining Mastery Points?
Once you’ve unlocked the required skills, you can distribute your remaining Mastery Points however you like.
You might prefer additional construction benefits, better resource production, or other Support Mastery bonuses that fit your individual playing style.
For example, Architect’s Insight can be useful if you’re still actively upgrading seasonal buildings and want to earn additional Season Mastery EXP.
The route shown here is specifically designed to reach Vault Master. It doesn’t mean that every other skill is useless. We’re simply focusing on one particular goal.
Already Chosen a Different Mastery Setup?
No problem! Last Z allows you to reset your Mastery skills and redistribute your points.
Open your Support Mastery screen and look for the red reset button in the bottom-right corner, marked with two circular arrows.
Tap the button and review the confirmation window. Confirm the reset using the required reset item.
Your Mastery Points will be refunded, and all learned skills in that Mastery path will be reset. Your selected Mastery path itself will remain unchanged.
You can then follow our route to Vault Master and redistribute any remaining points according to your preferences.
Just remember that resetting removes your currently learned Mastery skills until you assign those points again.
Stronger Together – The lunA Way!
Vault Master isn’t just about individual development. It’s about making the entire alliance stronger.
Every additional Lunatic who unlocks Vault Master can contribute more resource-looting opportunities for fellow alliance members. And that’s exactly the kind of cooperation we want to encourage.
We don’t need everyone to have identical Mastery builds. We don’t need everyone to develop at exactly the same speed. But sharing knowledge, helping each other, and understanding how the game works benefits all of us.
And if Helen can guide a building full of Lunatics through a Mastery tree without losing her patience, surely we can manage to follow a few arrows on a tutorial graphic.
Follow the path. Unlock Vault Master. Share the loot. Stay lunatic!
